Products microDERM Luminis

Why is the quality of lighting so important?

For the differential-diagnostic evaluation of all melanoma and non-melanoma assessment of skin colour changes is important. The brightness determines the accuracy of the details. Only if in the colour gamut between 380nm and 700nm at least 3000 lux are reached, may one assume that all relevant colour properties and details can be recognised by the examiner. Conventional dermoscopes often “filter“ important colour information if they only work with blue-white LED light or reddish lamp light.

Only with microDERM Luminis, at the push of a button do you have the choice between a white light with natural reds and blues similar to daylight or the controlled shift of colour temperature into the red light frequency, for blood vessel or pigment emphasis.
